ALBERT SCHWEITZER

Our mission is to empower vulnerable populations by promoting access to peer support, compassionate care, and comprehensive services that address the intersecting challenges of substance misuse, mental health issues, and those struggling with houselessness.

Thrive RCO is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to houselessness advocacy and supporting individuals experiencing houselessness, those grappling with mental health issues, and individuals confronting substance misuse disorders. Our mission is to empower vulnerable populations through access to compassionate mental health services and comprehensive support, while promoting dignity, resilience, and recovery. Through collaborative partnerships, community engagement initiatives, and evidence-based practices, we strive to cultivate inclusive communities and advance social justice for all individuals facing these challenges. We invite corporate and government donors to partner with us in making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.

Leveraging their personal experiences, our Certified Peer Recovery Coaches assist individuals in setting achievable goals related to mental health services, substance misuse support, and overall well-being. They empower recoverees to access resources, develop effective coping strategies, and progress towards their recovery goals. Their dedication helps strengthen community support systems and promotes a positive environment conducive to personal growth and recovery, including houselessness advocacy.

We partner with local organizations, engage with community leaders, and actively participate in neighborhood events to extend our support to vulnerable populations, particularly in the areas of houselessness advocacy, mental health services, and substance misuse support. By fostering these partnerships and actively engaging with the community, we ensure that our services are accessible and tailored to meet the diverse needs of those we serve.

We conduct street outreach pop-ups in our community, focusing on houselessness advocacy by reaching out directly to individuals in need. These initiatives provide essential resources from food to Naloxone, aiming to support individuals with mental health services and substance misuse support. By meeting people where they are with critical supplies and compassionate care, we strive to enhance safety, promote health, and foster pathways to recovery and resilience.

We bring Certified Peer Professionals into the Clark County Jail as part of our houselessness advocacy efforts. This initiative aims to support individuals within the criminal justice system by providing empathetic peer support, including essential mental health services and substance misuse support. By bridging gaps and offering personalized assistance, this team strives to empower incarcerated individuals, promote rehabilitation, and facilitate successful reintegration into the community upon release.
THRIVE supports community safety and houses essential services by ensuring Narcan is widely accessible. As part of their commitment to substance misuse support and houselessness advocacy, THRIVE manages and stocks 14 naloxone boxes and 2 Narcan vending machines throughout the area, making this life-saving medication readily available in an emergency.
